Before you order
How fast do I get my link?
Ready-made designs are ready the same day (order by 3 pm Eastern on a weekday), and custom designs take about 2 business days. Business days are Monday to Friday, Eastern time. We answer questions by email within one business day. Got a show tomorrow? Order a ready-made design and tell us the date. We'll do our best to get it to you in time.
What if the venue Wi-Fi is bad?
Open your link once before the show while you have internet. After it has loaded, the sign keeps playing even if the Wi-Fi drops. A phone hotspot works too.
How do I put it on a second monitor?
Plug the monitor into your laptop, open the link, drag the browser window onto the monitor, and press F11 for full screen. Want a different sign on each screen? Order two designs and open one link on each screen.
Do you work outside Ohio?
Yes. DSMS SignLink and Event Remote are just a link, so they work anywhere in the US and Canada. Prices are in US dollars. Managed screens with hardware and installs are in Northeast Ohio.
Which time zone does my sign use?
Yours. Clocks, countdowns and your end date all follow the time on your own screen, wherever you are. Your plan ends on a date, and your sign keeps playing until the end of the next day, so it never goes dark early because of a time zone.
What happens when my time runs out?
Your screen never goes black. Before the end date we email you a renewal link. After it, the screen shows a simple "This sign needs renewing" page until you renew. Renewing keeps the same link.
Can I change the sign later?
Ready-made designs include one round of text fixes. Custom designs include one or two rounds, depending on the plan. Extra rounds are $15 each. The link updates on its own, so you don't touch the screen.
Can I get a refund?
No. Your payment books our time, and we start on your sign as soon as you order. All orders are final, including orders cancelled before the design is approved.
Who checks my sign before it goes up?
You do, and you see it before you pay. With a ready-made design, the last step shows your sign exactly as it will play, built from your own words. Check the spelling, prices, dates and phone numbers, fix anything right there, then send. The boxes underline misspelled words as you type. A custom design is built by our designer, so we email you a proof to approve first; if we don't hear from you within 7 days, that proof counts as approved.
What's the difference with a managed screen?
A DSMS SignLink is one design for a set time. A managed screen is DSMS looking after your screens every month: new content, schedules, changes from your phone, and hardware if you want it. Many customers start with a link and move up.
